I’m Katie Tinsley, southern girl at heart, mom of three, travel enthusiast, and the voice behind Splash of Chic. I grew up in Columbia, South Carolina, and went to college at USC (Go Gamecocks!). My husband, Blake, is from Rock Hill and we met in college through mutual friends—he was at The Citadel. What started as a friendship eventually turned into a forever thing, and we’ve now been married for 7 years.
We live in Charlotte, NC with our three amazing kids: Chloe, McNeal (aka “Big Mac”), and Izzy. Life is full, chaotic, and beautiful—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This little dream of mine has been sitting on the back burner for far too long. I actually bought the domain six years ago on a whim, and recently decided it was finally time to stop saying “one day” and just go for it.
Travel has been a huge part of our story; both as a couple and now as a family. Every trip brings new inspiration in style, food, design, and perspective. I’ve always believed that great taste is shaped by great experiences, and I love sharing what inspires me in everyday life. From chic finds to favorite recipes and honest product reviews.
